Jerry Mick (Senior Pastor)

Pastor Jerry Mick has been serving the Lord in the ministry of the church since January 1984. Since that time, he has been a high school and elementary teacher, athletic director, school principal, assistant pastor, associate pastor, and since 1997, has been the senior pastor of Crosspoint Church. This church is the only ministry that Jerry and Jane have served in. They have been at Crosspoint for 34 years and Jerry has been senior pastor for 20+ years. He serves as the President of New England Bible College and Grace Evangelical Seminary, which offers courses in various locations throughout Maine, with the main campus in Bangor. 

Pastor Mick has both a Graduate of Theology degree and a Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry and Bible degree from Baptist Bible College, a Bachelor of Education degree from Lincoln University, a Master of School Administration degree from the University of Maine and a Master of Counseling/Human Relations degree from Liberty University. 

Pastor Mick also played four years of college baseball while attending Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO, gaining first team All-Conference honors all four years. He is the only athlete in the history of Lincoln University to be named on the first team All-Conference squad four consecutive years in a sport. He also is an avid tennis player and enjoys playing four to five times per week. He is a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified professional tennis instructor and gives private lessons and conducts clinics. 

Pastor Mick has been involved in missions for a number of years and has served in Albania, Tanzania, Zambia, China, Nepal, Tibet, Cambodia, Philippines, Belize, Russia, Laos, Thailand, Haiti, and Vietnam doing mission work. The church is heavily involved in missions with a Faith Promise budget of more than $165,000 to support 50 missionaries. He has served as executive director and chairman of the board of Outreach To Asia Nationals (OTAN) located in Winchester, VA. OTAN is a mission organization that raises funds to help educate pastors in Asia. Their philosophy is very simple: Train the national to reach their own culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Mick still teaches for OTAN in various countries. 

Jerry is married to his lovely wife Jane who has an MBA from the University of Maine and operates her own private accounting business out of their home. Jane also serves as the assistant nursery director of the church. Jerry and Jane have two adult children. Ryan is a Liberty University graduate and is employed by SJ Rollins Technologies in Bangor, Maine. Ryan was married in August 2001 to his college sweetheart, Susan. Pastor Mick and Jane also have a daughter, Renee, who is a Palm Beach Atlantic University graduate. She married her college sweetheart, Craig Wyatt, in December 2005. Jerry and Jane have three grandchildren, Westyn, Giana, and Capri.
