Jerry Mick (Senior Pastor)

Jerry Mick is the Senior Pastor of the Crosspoint Church in Bangor, Maine. The ministry is located on thirty-eight beautiful acres in the city of Bangor and is only one hour from the gorgeous, scenic Maine coastline. Pastor Mick has been serving the Lord in the ministry of the church since January of 1984. Since that time, he has been a high school and elementary teacher, athletic director, school principal, assistant pastor, associate pastor, and since 1997, has been the senior pastor of Crosspoint Church. This church is the only ministry that Jerry and Jane have served in. They have been at Crosspoint for 34 years and Jerry has been senior pastor for 20+ years. He serves as the President of New England Bible College and Grace Evangelical Seminary, which offers courses in various locations throughout Maine, with the main campus in Bangor. 

Pastor Mick has a Graduate of Theology degree from Baptist Bible College, a Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry and Bible from Baptist Bible College, a Bachelor’s degree in education from Lincoln University, a Master’s degree from the University of Maine in school administration, and a Master’s degree in counseling/human relations from Liberty University.

Pastor Mick also played four years of college baseball while attending Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO, gaining first team all-conference honors all four years. He is the only athlete in the history of Lincoln University to be named on the first team all-conference squad four consecutive years in a sport. He also is an avid tennis player and enjoys playing four to five times per week.  He is a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certified professional tennis instructor and gives private lessons and conducts clinics. 

Pastor Mick has been involved in missions for a number of years and has served in Albania, Tanzania, Zambia, China, Nepal, Tibet, Cambodia, Philippines, Belize, Russia, Laos, Thailand, Haiti, and Vietnam doing mission work. The church is heavily involved in missions with a Faith Promise budget of over $165,000, supporting fifty missionaries. He has served as Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of “Outreach To Asia Nationals” located in Winchester, Virginia. OTAN is a mission organization that raises funds and helps to educate pastors in Asia. Their philosophy is very simple. Train the national to reach their own culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He still teaches for the organization in various countries. 

Crosspoint Church is one the largest Baptist Bible Fellowship Churches in Maine averaging nine hundred in morning attendance. The church operates numerous ministries: Bangor Christian Schools which is accredited by NEACS, serving approximately three hundred students, two homes for unwed pregnant women and young mothers with children, an inner city church plant to reach the homeless, addicts, and those who have been incarcerated.

The ministry is debt free and has buildings and properties valued at about twelve million dollars. Crosspoint Ministries has an annual budget exceeding three million dollars and employs 50+ people ministry wide. The Sunday services are heard weekly over radio station WHCF 88.5 at 11am, and 6pm on Sunday.  All three morning services (8, 9:30, 11) can be watched on livestream, and the church has a Thursday evening program called Crosspoint Online, which is an interactive rebroadcast of the Sunday morning service. 

Jerry is married to his lovely wife Jane who has an MBA from the University of Maine and operates her own private accounting business out of their home. Jane also serves as the assistant nursery director of the church. Jerry and Jane have two adult children. Ryan is a Liberty University graduate and is employed by SJ Rollins, Technologies in Bangor, Maine. He was married in August of 2001 to his college sweetheart, Susan. He also has a daughter, Renee, who is a Palm Beach Atlantic University graduate. She married her college sweetheart, Craig Wyatt, in December of 2005. Jerry and Jane have three grandchildren, Westyn, Giana, and Capri.
