Gary Turgeon (Children's Ministry Pastor)

Gary was born and raised in Western Massachusetts, where he married his wife Rosemary in 1983.                   At twenty-nine years of age, Gary accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior, and immediately began serving in many areas of ministry. Gary and Rosemary’s great love for children showed through as both served as Sunday school and Jr. church teachers for many years, while Gary was serving as the Sunday school superintendent. Shortly after his salvation he was called into full-time ministry, under the preaching of Pastor Herb Koonce at Tabernacle Baptist Church (now Life Point Church), in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Gary received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Baptist Bible College East in Boston, MA. and served as Senior Pastor in Lancaster, PA. before moving to Maine, where he served as Senior Pastor in the Bangor area.  Gary attended Liberty University, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and is currently a Christian Counselor in his own business, “New Life Counseling,” with his office located at Crosspoint Church.  While attending Liberty University, Gary also earned a Master’s Degree in Religion and a Master’s of Divinity Degree with an emphasis on missions.
The Turgeon’s have three grown children, two sons and a daughter, (All graduates of Bangor Christian School), and eleven grandchildren. They have been serving faithfully at Crosspoint Church since 2009, as well as serving as missionaries to Nepal, through O.T.A.N. (Outreach to Asian Nationals), a missions minded organization that sends missionaries to high risk and restricted access countries.  Gary has been appointed missionary manager to the country of Nepal and has been leading, teaching and training, National Nepali Pastor’s and Pastor’s from surrounding access countries, so that they, in turn can lead, teach, and preach to their native people.
