Dear Crosspoint Family and Friends,

As you all well know, Janet Mills has instituted a stay at home order through April, https://bangordailynews.com/2020/03/31/politics/janet-mills-orders-mainers-to-stay-at-home-through-april/.  We had been in talks to create a unique service for Easter, but this recent order has overridden that. While it is difficult for all of us, we know in time it will pass.

We still want you to know, if you have personal needs, we as a church are allowed to meet those personal needs. Do not feel shy about contacting us, we want to serve you and help you through this time of uncertainty.  The initial contact person is Pastor Adam, 207-944-5567. He has a list of people who are willing to help.

The staff and I have been doing our best to keep you posted via our church Facebook page. Hopefully, the devotions and updates will help us stay more connected? We also have numerous zoom groups that you can join. We have a men’s and a women’s Bible study that you can be a part of.  Simply e-mail me and I will make sure you get connected to one of those Bible groups. Connectedness is very important during this time of isolation.

Due to the recent order our facility has been all but closed down other than a few “essential” people. In fact, all the doors are locked and the public does not have access.  Sadly, our pastoral staff cannot visit people in nursing homes, in the ICU, Emergency room, personal homes, and so forth. So, we are very limited in certain areas of being able to minister.

The Mansion Church downtown on Center Street could use the following help.

  1. Food and overnight coverage for the warming center, https://bangordailynews.com/2020/03/30/news/bangor/bangor-pastor-calls-on-churches-to-open-their-doors-as-homeless-shelters-restrict-access/.
  2. Contact Terry Dinkins at 207-249-249-9154, he can answer your questions about food and night coverage.
As Satan batters us through this disease it is important we continue to pray and keep our eyes on Jesus.  Sin, disease, death, evil, and so on, all germinate from the fall of man in the garden. Satan’s goal is to damage God’s creation, especially his final act of creation, mankind.  We must as believers stay focused on the Lord and ask God to end this coronavirus. Ultimately, everything comes back to a spiritual battle, Ephesians 6:12, For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Pray for the Crosspoint staff, as we continue to pray for you!  Do not forget these verses, Ephesians 1:3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 6:10, Finally, be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. God bless you all.
